The idea for ConnectingLives® didn't start in a boardroom or with a business plan. It started with a grandmother, inspiration and a mailbox.
Growing up, my grandmother had a gift for reaching out. She wrote cards and letters that felt personal, warm, and real — the kind that made you feel seen, even from miles away. And something about receiving them made me want to write back. That exchange — her words, then mine, back and forth — created a bond that I still carry with me today.
Those handwritten moments became some of my most treasured memories. Not because of what was said perfectly, but because of the intentionality behind them. She took the time. She reached out. And I responded. Together, we created something that neither of us could have made alone.
As the years passed and life got busier, I noticed how easy it had become to drift — even from the people I loved most. Text messages were fast, but they didn't feel the same. Social media kept me informed, but it didn't make me feel connected. Something was missing.
I missed those written exchanges. I longed for that back-and-forth — that simple, meaningful ritual of reaching out and hearing back.
That longing became a vision. And that vision became ConnectingLives®.
Our 2-Way Cards® were designed to recreate exactly that kind of exchange — a place to start a conversation, share a thought, and invite a response. Not a one-way message, but a true back-and-forth. Something both people can hold onto.
Because real connection isn't just about reaching out. It's about what happens when the other person reaches back.
